JOHN MARSHALL BANK CEO AND PRESIDENT APPEAR ON ABC7 WJLA WASHINGTON, DC
Bank’s rapid growth and loan accessibility for small businesses catch the eye of media
John Maxwell, Chairman & CEO of John Marshall Bank, and President Bill Ridenour, appeared on ABC7 WJLA. Washington Business Report anchor Rebecca Cooper hosted the two bank executives to discuss the bank’s extraordinary success.

Opening the show’s segment, Ms. Cooper admirably introduced John Marshall Bank as “…a local bank that has, in a very short time, become one of the fastest growing businesses in our region.”  She continued, “In spite of the recession, housing market troubles and banking industry setbacks, John Marshall Bank has landed on the Top Commercial Lenders list in the Washington Business Journal.”

In a follow up to Ms. Cooper stating John Marshall Bank was one of the largest commercial lenders in the Washington, DC area, Mr. Ridenour stated the success of the bank is due in large part to taking the time to know the clients and offer those services and products they need.  Mr. Ridenour also said one of the things that make a community bank more attractive than a larger bank is its ability to look at things on individual merit as opposed to a macro perspective.  Ridenour explains, “If the real estate market is declining, we can look at individual businesses on a case by case basis and not discount all real estate transactions just because the market happens to be bad.”

John Marshall Bank first opened to the public under that name in Falls Church, Virginia in May 2008. Since that time, customer service, satisfaction, and success have inspired the bank’s leaders who have helped it to grow into one of the areas most respected and well capitalized banks.

“John Marshall Bank’s business model is based largely on people,” explained Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Maxwell.  “This has allowed us to grow nearly 1500% in three years, becoming the fastest-growing bank on the East Coast, the second-fastest growing bank in the United States and #1 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.”
