John Marshall Bank Hires Kent Carstater
Former Bank of Georgetown Executive to oversee risk management
[Reston, VA] [August 1, 2016] – Today, John Marshall Bank announced that Kent Carstater will oversee strategic financial planning and risk management. As Senior Vice President/Market Risk Management, Kent will work directly with the bank’s COO in the Reston corporate office.
Kent brings with him 18 years of management experience in the financial sector. His duties will include asset-liability, liquidity and portfolio management, capital planning and various other financial initiatives.
“Kent’s background in both working for and advising commercial banks will be a great resource for John Marshall Bank and will enable him to be a significant contributor to the prudent growth at John Marshall Bank. I am delighted he is joining our talented financial team,” said Carl Dodson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Kent received an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business. He earned a B.S. in finance from Virginia Tech.
