JMB Partners with Fairfax County’s Salvation Army’s “Angel Tree” Program

Each year, John Marshall Bank participates in Fairfax County’s Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree Program. The program has been running for 40 years and supports families in our local community that are unable to provide gifts for their children due to financial challenges. Through the Salvation Army’s efforts, hundreds of families in Northern Virginia have been able to join in the joys of this holiday season even while facing difficult circumstances.

Dozens of businesses and organizations participate in this drive where an individual anonymously adopts an “angel” and then purchases an outfit (top and bottom) and one or two toy items based on the “angel’s” wish list. In 2018, this wonderful program was able to collect gifts for nearly 2,000 children in the Northern Virginia area.

Here at John Marshall Bank, we recently “wrapped” up (no pun intended) the annual drive for 2019. Our team was able to successfully fulfill our annual goal of 100% of requested gift donations! Our dedicated employees volunteered their time and resources to coordinate their assigned Angel Tree gifts and prepare them for delivery.

Through this program, the JMB staff has generously embodied the core values of John Marshall Bank by investing in their local community and reflecting our personal commitment to our neighbors.
