Manage your account, anytime, anywhere with John Marshall Bank’s Mobile Banking. First, go to the Mobile Banking Center under the Customer Service tab to enroll your device(s). Then go to the iOS App Store to download our John Marshall Bank personal mobile banking app. Once you download the app, you can begin enjoying the convenience of John Marshall Bank’s secure mobile banking.

No matter where you are or what time it is, John Marshall Bank’s secure Mobile Banking app allows you to manage your account. Check balances, transfer funds between John Marshall Bank accounts*, pay bills, deposit checks, view check images, or just find the nearest branch or ATM.

Banking has never been easier! If you’re already a John Marshall Bank Online Banking customer, all you need is a supported mobile device to use our Mobile Banking app. That’s it!

Best of all, John Marshall Bank does not charge a fee for Mobile Banking. Third-party fees may apply, including fees from your wireless carrier, which may charge you for data usage and text messaging services. You should check with your wireless carrier for details regarding your specific wireless plan and any data usage or text messaging charges that may apply.

Mobile Check Deposit

New Endorsement Requirements for Mobile Deposits:

For your protection, we have updated the check endorsement instructions for making deposits through our mobile and tablet apps1.

  1. Log into the Mobile Banking app., click on the plus + symbol located at the bottom, and select “Deposit”.
  2. Continue with the prompts by clicking “Continue”.
  3. Select the account to use for your deposit.
  4. Enter the deposit amount.
  5. Enter an email address where you would like to receive your deposit receipt.
  6. Sign the back of your check and write “For Mobile Deposit Only John Marshall Bank” below your signature. (Or if available, check the box that reads: “Check here if mobile deposit” and write “John Marshall Bank”).
  7. Snap a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check. (Note: Images are stored securely at John Marshall Bank and are not saved on your phone.)
  8. Click “Continue”.
  9. You will be prompted to approve your deposit.
  10. After approving, you’ll receive two notifications, one for deposit received and one other for deposit approved.

Funds will typically be available in the account the next business day if deposited prior to the 5 p.m. cut-off time. All deposits are subject to the Bank’s Funds Availability Policy and may not be immediately available.

Checks must be from a U.S. financial institution, in U.S. dollars, and be payable to you. Personal checks, business checks, government/treasury checks, and cashier checks are all accepted using  Mobile Check Deposit.

We recommend you keep your check for two weeks as a precaution in case it’s ever needed for verification. After two weeks, it should be shredded.

Log into your Online Banking account and follow the enrollment steps in the “Mobile Banking Center.” Download the correct app for your phone or tablet.

Convenient and Secure 7-Year Record Storage

No need for boxes filled with records. John Marshall Bank stores your statements for seven years! That is why we offer e-Statements. Enroll in online banking and elect to receive electronic statements and have the convenience of 24/7 access to your statements for seven years through secure Internet banking. To make it doubly secure, when a statement is sent, you will be notified by e-mail that your statement has been sent for your review. Images of cancelled checks is included.

Follow these steps to enroll in e-Statements:

  1. Sign into Online Banking
  2. Click on Accounts/Statements
  3. Click on allow the window to open
  4. A Consent and Authorization message will appear. Read and click accept.

That’s all there is to it! Safely and securely stored for seven years!

Of course, you can always download your monthly e-Statement PDFs and images of checks to your computer of choice.

SecurLOCK Equip

Making Your World More Secure

John Marshall Bank offers its customers another way to stop fraud faster. As a John Marshall Bank debit cardholder, you may enroll in our SecurLOCK program for FREE. By simply downloading the SecurLOCK equip mobile app, you will be able to control how, when and where your John Marshall Bank debit card is being used. It’s a simple and secure way to manage and instantly monitor your payment transaction activity with notifications whenever your card is used. And if you ever lose your card, SecurLOCK Equip allows you to easily change your settings and turn the card off, preventing any unauthorized charges from being made.

SecurLOCK Equip requires you to have a John Marshall Bank debit card. You will also need an Apple or Android smartphone. After downloading the app from the App Store, you will be instructed to enter your full account number, along with other authentication information. Once the app has been successfully downloaded to your smartphone you can begin to register your cards, after which, you may begin to use the app immediately.

The app supports Android – version 4.1 or later and Apple (iOS) – device model 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, or 6 Plus with iOS operating system version 6, 7, or 8 and all future devices going forward.

Now here is the best part.  You manage everything.  Let’s say you lose your card, and want to make certain no unauthorized purchases are made.  By going to settings and turning the card off, the little green button in the top right corner of the card image will turn to red. This means that all transactions (except for recurring) will be declined. It’s that easy. Now you have the ultimate control to combat fraud.

After you become comfortable with the on/off function you can start selectively setting controls by channel (in-store, online, mobile, ATM, etc.). You can also set transaction spend limits to within the card’s approved credit restrictions, select geographic locations where the card can be used, set specific merchant categories, view recent transaction history, receive real-time alerts and much more.

Send Money to Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime

One of many free perks available to you as a John Marshall Bank customer is Zelle.  This free service allows you to use your mobile phone to instantly pay anyone, anytime, anywhere – with the peace of mind knowing the funds are sent securely.  Although we offer you this service at no charge, you need to check with your service provider to see what, if any, data and text message rates apply.

Apple Pay®

Apple Pay is a convenient new way to easily make purchases with your John Marshall Bank debit and credit cards at many of your favorite retailers with just the touch of your finger, wallet-free. All you need to do is enroll your John Marshall Bank debit and credit cards using the Wallet app using an eligible iPhone®, iPad®, or Apple Watch®.
